I am... A 22 year old Vietnamese graphic and web designer from Southern California. I have a B.A. in Art History from the University of California, San Diego. I'm a romantic who loves daffodils, vintage clothing, dresses, and art nouveau. I have a cat named Leo I adore to death, and I'm passionate about design. I aspire to be a UI designer. I read... Magical realist novels and comic books. I am obsessed with The Little Prince. I love all Haruki Murakami books as well as Salman Rushdie. I also enjoy Jpod, The Phantom Tollbooth, To Kill a Mockingbird, Ender's Game, Lord of the Rings, and The Life of Pi. The only comics I keep up with is Fables. I occasionally read and enjoy Daytripper, Watchmen, and American Vampire. I read manga even less, but I love After School Nightmare, Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Fairy Tale, and anything made by Yazawa Ai. I play... Mostly JRPG games and competitive fighting games. I especially like Final Fantasy 8/9/10, Kingdom Hearts, Persona 3/4, Lunar, Suikoden 3, Earthbound, Chrono Cross/Trigger, and Fire Emblem. I also like Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Phoenix Wright, Cooking Mama, The Sims, Shenmue, and Marvel vs. Capcom games. My friends and I are also big board game fanatics. I personally own Carcassone, Puerto Rico, Dominion and Dominion Seaside, and Cranium. But we all love to play Settlers of Catan and Munchkin as well. I watch... I enjoy a lot of different things. I obsessively watch Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Top Chef, Friends, Arrested Development, and I Love Lucy. On the side I also watch a lot of Walking Dead, Pawn Stars, Futurama, Family Guy, Simpsons, and How I Met Your Mother. I generally like arthouse movies or foreign movies. My favourites are Amelie, Jeux D'enfants, all the Wes Anderson films, all Satoshi Kon films, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, A Single Man, Closer, Lord of the Rings, A Clockwork Orange, Star Wars, The Princess Bride, Big Fish, and Moulin Rouge. I listen to... A lot of indie bands, or indie bands turned big. Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Interpol, Weezer, Devendra Banhart, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bjork, Cults, Sleigh Bells, Grizzly Bear, Vampire Weekend, Hot Chip, Stars, Broken Social Scene, Postal Service, The Dodos, Active Child, The Shins, The Smiths, and Belle & Sebastian. I enjoy... Design, fashion, vintage clothing, shoes, Comic-Con, music festivals, concerts, and travelling.
